Happy New Year

Our New Year's Eve was as uneventful as humanly possible. We had cheese raclette with boiled potatoes, sour cream, baguette, ham and bacon for supper, and then we watched some TV, but there was nothing to watch except for a music channel that played old videoclips from the 80's, so it was a bit like a trip down the memory lane for Gerry and me.

Kimmy lounged with us on the sofa and snored away most of the evening.

At 11:30 PM we were sooo sleepy, we called it a night and moved upstairs. Kimmy and I were just about to fall asleep, when the fireworks started, Kimmy was frightened and crouched on the floor between my bed and the floor lamp, and make those "quietch, quietch" sounds.

After about 20 minutes, the noise was over, and we could succumb peacefully to sweet sleep....

The older I get, the more I appreciate a good night's sleep! ;)
