15 weeks today!
You're growing up, my baby girl! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kimmy loves running outside in the snow (yes, we actually have snow that hasn't melted immediately after falling!!!). I took her for her morning walk and she just frolicked in the snow and ran up and down the hill like a ... well, puppy! ;)
It's so funny when she sniffs and licks the snow, then looks up and her nose is all white, so cute :)
I need to somehow get through her skull that I am not her littermate, and that she can't play with me the same way she would play with her brothers and sisters. Every single time we start heading home from our walk, she will try to initiate puppy play with me. She will go in front of me, block my way, then do the "play bow" (front paws on the ground, butt in the air, tail wagging side to side), sometimes she will add a short bark as well, and then she'd grab the leg of my trousers with her teeth and start shaking.
I know that this is how puppies play but heck, no matter how many times I say "no!", she still does it. It must be a funny view when we head home. Every time she does this "routine", I stop in my tracks, say "No!" and if she doesn't let go of my trousers, I remind her to do so with my hand. Then she looks at me and waits. As soon as I make another step, the whole process repeats. Step, bite, stop, step, bite, stop, .... It's a very slow way to get home ;)
I wonder if she does it because she doesn't want the walk to be over yet?
In every case, I need to be patient with her and just keep on letting her know that she is not allowed to do this.
