More photos of our little princess

You can see from these photos, that Benny and Kimmy already enjoyed playing together.

Ben was so gentle with her. I think he is now able to understand that a dog is not a toy, and to be careful and gentle.

He was a bit afraid of the adult Doberman, which makes sense - the dog was bigger then him when she stood on her hind legs, and the powerful bark didn't help, either.

But soon he saw he didn't need to be afraid, and went to play with the puppies.

We are getting a puppy!

Yesterday, we drove to a small village in Germany, to visit a Doberman breeder, Michaela. Her Doberman Banja gave birth to 8 puppies, 4 girls and 4 boys, and we went to see them and pick one for us.

As the puppies are only 6 weeks old now, they have to stay with their Mama for at least another 2 weeks.

We spent a wonderful afternoon playing with the adorable puppies, as well as their very well behaved Mama, and chatting with the breeder.

One of the puppies was especially interested in Benny, and soon it was clear that this puppy is the one for us. We named her Kimmy.

She has the most adorable floppy ears, gentle nose and warm wet tongue (with which she licked Benny's face and hair a lot, to his utter delight). Her paws are really cute, too. You can already tell she will grow up to be a beautiful elegant dog.

We will drive to pick her up and bring her home on Sunday, November 13th, 2005. So now we have 2 weeks to get ready for her arrival. That means buying all the necessary equipment, such as a crate, some puppy toys, feeding bowls, a harness and a collar, ...

All three of us are very excited and can't wait to have our little Kimmy with us.
